Hydro worker suffers life-threatening injuries

Huron County OPP and the Ministry of Labour are investigating a workplace injury that occurred just east of Wingham, after a hydro worker sustained life-threatening injuries.

OPP and paramedic services were called to Howick-Turnberry Road (Huron County Road 7) on Sunday at around 10:44 a.m.

Police said a hydro worker was taken to hospital after they suffered from an apparent electrocution.

The Ministry of Labour will attend the scene to help with the investigation.

Provincial police have temporarily closed Howick-Turnberry Road between Bok Line and Gilmour Line.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
