Deceased identified in fatal crash near Meaford

Police have identified the victim of a fatal crash near Meaford.

On Tuesday, September 27 just after noon, Grey-Bruce OPP officers responded alongside Grey County Paramedic Services and the Meaford Fire Department to the crash on Highway 26 just east of Grey County Road 112. Police determined that a head-on collision had occurred between a compact vehicle and a pickup truck.

The driver of the compact vehicle was pronounced deceased at the scene. The deceased has been identified as 32-year-old Lisa Rowe-Wilson from Meaford. Two passengers in the compact vehicle, a 3-year-old child and a 33-year-old adult remain in hospital with life-threatening injuries. The driver of the pickup truck was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police continue to investigate the cause of this crash. Anyone who may have witnessed this collision is encouraged to contact Grey-Bruce OPP or Crime Stoppers.
