Owen Sound man charged after pick-up hits a house

An Owen Sound man is facing charges after a pick-up truck ran into a house.

Owen Sound Police say they were called around 8:10 a.m. Sunday to a single motor vehicle collision in the 2500 block of 3rd Avenue West.

A Ford F150 had crossed into the oncoming lane, clipped a hydro pole ripping off the truck's left front wheel, then continued across two properties and hit a house.

The hydro poll was damaged and the house has minor damage. Police say the vehicle was a write-off.

A 56-year-old man is charged with careless driving and having open liquor in a vehicle.
