OPP remind Southgate residents to "lock it or lose it"

Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police are reminding members of the public to not leave their keys in vehicles following recent incidents in Southgate township.

Police say they're investigating multiple property crimes, including an incident on September 6 near Dundalk, which saw the driver of a stolen vehicle flee from officers across several properties.

Officers remind residents in the area that items of value should be put away and not left in plain sight. The advice comes after a separate incident on September 28 in Southgate that led to an individual being taken into custody following a report of threats being made toward someone that possibly involved a firearm.
