Pedestrian hurt in collision near Rockford airlifted to hospital

A pedestrian, hit by a vehicle in Meaford Wednesday morning, was airlifted to hospital.

Grey Bruce OPP say they were called to the scene on Highway 6 & 10 just south of Rockford just before 7:00 a.m. Wednesday.

Grey County Paramedics and the Inter Township Fire Department also responded.

The pedestrian was taken to local hospital and later airlifted to another hospital.

The northbound lanes of Highway 6 & 10 remain closed while the investigation continues.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
