South Bruce Peninsula mayoral candidate Donald Tedford passes away

The Town of South Bruce Peninsula has announced that mayoral candidate Donald Tedford has passed away suddenly.

Tedford was a well-respected civil servant, having decades of municipal experience, most recently working as the director of development for the town of Hanover, as well as recently working for South Bruce Peninsula on a part-time basis as Chief Building Official.

CKNXNewsToday.ca recently interviewed Tedford, where he said that he hoped to represent the entire municipality, saying he had the knowledge and experience of working in municipal government, and knows how to get things done.

The town notes that with the municipal election coming up on October 24, "the voting system including Don Tedford's name have already been set, and cannot be revised at this late stage in the election process."
