More local blood donation events coming to Midwestern Ontario

Canadian Blood Services is hosting another round of blood donation events in the area.

The Mount Forest and District Recreation Complex will host a blood drive on Tuesday, November 1 from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. and again on Tuesday, November 29 from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. The Owen Sound Legion will host another blood donation drive on Wednesday, November 2 from 2 p.m. until 7 p.m. and again on Wednesday, November 30 from 2 p.m. until 7 p.m. Finally, Dundalk's Highpoint Community School will host another donation event, as blood donors can donate there on Saturday, November 5 from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.

Canadian Blood Services says they are at an increased need of new donors following the pandemic, which saw them lose roughly 31,000 regular donors. Visit blood.ca or use the Canadian Blood Services app to make an appointment today. The donation events are by appointment only.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
