Honour Guard planned for Don Tedford

Staff and residents of Hanover are organizing an "Honour Guard" for Don Tedford.

Tedford, who recently passed away,  was a long-time civil servant in Hanover and was running for Mayor in the Town of South Bruce Peninsula.

Everyone is encouraged to pay their respects by lining 10th Street in Hanover by 8:25 a.m. Thursday.

Tedford will take his final drive on the town's main street as the funeral procession, led by Hanover Police Service and the Hanover Fire Department, makes it way from Mighton Funeral Home to Owen Sound.

The procession will travel past the Civic Centre and turn into the clocktower parking lot where it will briefly pause.

Participants are asked not to park in the clocktower parking lot.
