Police looking for officer impersonator

A person impersonating a police officer is being investigated by police.

Perth County OPP say that officers responded to a call about someone impersonating an officer on October 16.

According to police, a driver was stopped on Perth Line 88 in North Perth and a person approached the vehicle while posing as a police officer. The suspect is described as a white male, likely in his 50s, heavy set, and wearing  a navy blue outfit and white New Balance shoes. The suspect vehicle is described as a black Dodge Charger with a bar and lights in the front grill with no markings. The investigation is ongoing.

Perth County OPP are asking anyone with information to contact them or Crime Stoppers regarding this individual. Police also say "citizens may ask a police officer to provide the name of their service, detachment, badge number, rank officer's badge and warrant card. The officer should be able to provide this information without delay."

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
