Bruce County Museum offering free admission to Kincardine residents

The Bruce County Museum and Cultural Centre is hosting their second Kincardine Community Day. 

On Saturday, October 22, all Kincardine residents and ratepayers will receive free admission to the museum. 

Residents are invited to visit the Museum’s fall exhibits, Farm Fresh Bruce County and Small Town Ontario Streetscapes: Combining Art, History and Your Memories, By Artist Mary Burke. 

There are also several permanent exhibits residents can check out, such as Riding the Rails, Captivating Coastline, The Last Frontier, Bevan’s General Store, and Anishnaabwe Endaat: Where we live and lived. 

Residents who are interested in attending are asked to register online, or show proof of residency at time of entry.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
