New Bayfield bridge pleasing local council member

Bayfield Ward councillor Bill Whetstone says the bridge at the north end of Bayfield on Highway 21 is everything the conceptual drawings suggested it would be.

“We haven't officially had any word from the project manager yet, but as of Monday, the walk way opened. As you can see, I went for a walk on Monday on there just to check it out and it's actually beautiful, it's actually stunning," Whetstone says.

Whetstone says there's still a few things they have to do.

“There's still a few things they have to do from the looks of it, but it's got to be very close to being complete now from a project perspective and it's going to be a focal point, I can see a pile of pictures being taken there from a tourist's perspective," addedWhetstone.

Whetstone says the sunny weather being predicted for this weekend will be a perfect time for anyone in the area to check it out.
