Architect to share design concepts for Kemble Arena on November 8

An upcoming information session will detail future plans for the Kemble Arena.

Following engagement with the public in September that included an open house to share ideas, Masri O Architects will share design concepts based on that feedback at the Shallow Lake Arena on November 8th at 5:00 p.m.

The township of Georgian Bluffs is renovating the community centre in Kemble to improve accessibility, and create more flexible, multi-use space for recreation programs.

In the spring, council awarded a contract to Masri O Architects to design upgrades and administer work for $118,000.

Upgrades are also being funded in part by all three levels of government, with the municipality set to put up $452,000. A further $1,200,000 is coming from the Investing in Canada Infrasture Program.

Funding details call for upgrades to entrances, washrooms and parking areas, new flooring, the installation of a new HVAC system, and increasing energy efficiency.
