CUPE education workers not employed in all midwestern Ontario school boards

Not all board's in midwestern Ontario will be affected if CUPE education workers follow through on a threat to walk off the job across the province Friday.

The Avon Maitland District School Board says it has no CUPE employees.

The Bluewater District School Board has custodial and facility maintenance staff who are members of CUPE.

At The Upper Grand District School Board, CUPE represents custodial and maintenance staff, as well as adult English as a Second Language instructors.

And the Bruce Grey Catholic District School Board says CUPE staff includes educational assistants, office administrators, library technicians, custodial staff, early childhood educators, IT field technicians and some Catholic Education Centre staff.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
