West Grey Police offer Halloween safety advice

West Grey Police are out with some safety tips this Halloween.

Constable Rod Hilton posted a video on social media last night including things kids can do to be safe while trick or treating.

"Always walk on the sidewalk, cross at corners, watch out for traffic, carry a flashlight, stay with your group, don't eat treats until they have been checked by an adult," said Hilton.

He also had some advice for drivers.

"Slow it down, watch for children, and never drink and drive and don't drive high," warned Hilton.

You may want to pack an umbrella as part of your costume tonight. Environment Canada is calling for a 60 per cent chance of showers and drizzle.
