Drug and weapon charges laid following Grey Highlands break-in

A break and enter in Grey County has led to weapon and drug charges for one individual. 

On November 8, Grey Bruce OPP attended the incident on Grey Road 2 in the Municipality of Grey Highlands, located the suspected individual involved, and placed them under arrest. 

Police say they found a black BB gun, ammunition, and a quantity of suspected controlled substances with a combined street value of approximately $5,980 when they searched the suspect. 

A 25-year-old from Grey Highlands is facing eight total charges. They include; possession of weapon for dangerous purpose, possession break in instruments, two counts of possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking, careless storage of a firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition, occupant of motor vehicle knowing there was a prohibited device or ammunition, and possession of a schedule I substance

The accused was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound at a later date.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
