Officer allegedly assaulted during arrest

A recent altercation in South Bruce Peninsula has resulted in some serious charges.

During the arrest, police claim that the individual began resisting arrest, causing an alleged injury to an officer, who was treated at a local hospital and released.

The accused was taken to the Wiarton OPP station where it's alleged they attempted to take a weapon from an officer's duty belt.
