Update: Man charged in Milverton situation

Perth County OPP have arrested a suspect after a person barricaded themselves inside a Milverton home Tuesday.

At about 10 Tuesday morning, police responded to a disturbance at a Pacific Avenue residence, and called in support from West Region OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT), West Region Canine, West Region Tactics & Rescue Unit (TRU) and Crisis Negotiators .

Police arrested a man at about 3:30 Tuesday afternoon without incident. The suspect remains in custody and is facing criminal charges.

Pacific Avenue was closed for most of the day, but is now open.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
