Local "Guns N' Hoses" charity hockey games being held

Local police and firefighters will once again battle on the ice for charity.

Two local "Guns N' Hoses" hockey games soon will be held in the region. The first will be held Sunday, November 20 at 3:00 p.m. at the Perth East Recreation Center. Members of Perth County OPP will be facing off against members of the Perth County Fire Departments in support of Victim Services of Bruce Grey Perth. Prior to the game, the public can enjoy a free skate from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Admission is by cash donation or non-perishable food item. The OPP Auxiliary Unit will be collecting non-perishable food and donating it to the Salvation Army Food Bank.

A second "Guns N' Hoses" game will be held Sunday, December 4 at the Central Huron Community Centre in Clinton at 3:00 p.m. The Central Huron Fire Department will face off against the Huron OPP in a charity fundraising hockey game to support Victim Services Huron County.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
