Bruce County Museum announces winter events

The Bruce County Museum and Cultural Centre has announced its holiday and winter lineup of activities and events for the whole family to enjoy. 

On December 15 from 5:30-7:30 p.m, you are invited to attend the second annual Light Up the Holidays event. Also in December, families can enjoy visits with Santa Claus and the festive ‘Merry Munchkins’ programming for children ages 18 months to four years.

January will see the opening of the Museum’s major winter exhibit “Made in Bruce”, highlighting the inventions and patents of past local entrepreneurs. 

Later in February, the Animal Antics Family Day Show will take place on February 20 with live presentations by Zoo-to-You and Speaking of Wildlife.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
