Goderich grandmother wins $333K

A 58-year-old Goderich woman collected a whopping $333,333.40 Maxmillions prize in the October 7 Lotto Max draw.

Lesa Horton said she occasionally tries her luck in the lottery when there are big prizes on the table. When her ticket matched the winning numbers, she could not believe her eyes.

“I was just vibrating with joy! This experience is one of the best I’ve had in my life. I’m still saying, ‘Wow,’ even holding the cheque in my hand," she said.

Horton will set aside most of her winnings for retirement and for her grandchildren’s education. The money will also help pay for a cabin she is in the process of building.

“I also want to go on some adventures and have some incredible experiences. I’ve been thinking about the rocky mountain train trip,” Horton said.
