Owen Sound maintaining winter trails

Residents in Grey County can enjoy some outdoor recreation in the City of Owen Sound.

The city has three kilometres of looped recreational trails at Harrison Park that will be maintained throughout the winter to provide accessible outdoor exercise.

The goal of the winter maintenance program is to try and ensure trails are always available.

There are also opportunities for a more natural experience on the local trail network when conditions allow. That includes cross country skiing and snowshoeing.

If you are heading out for a winter tour, make sure you are prepared for changing conditions.

Maintained trails include Harrison Park Freedom Trail, Harrison Park Island Trails, Harrison Park Mile Drive, Harrison Park Campground, Harrison Park Pool Exit Road and Nine Bends Trail

A public washroom at the Harrison Park Inn restaurant is available to trail users year-round.

The City’s recreational trail network consists of 30 km of trails.
