Ten local business receive government funding

Ten local businesses in Stratford have received funding from the government of Canada's My Main Street Local Business Accelerator Program.

InvestStratford and the Downtown Stratford BIA announced the funding for the ten local businesses on January 23. Each business received a non-repayable $10,000 grant to support their business operations. The businesses that received funding were Lovage, Wills And Prior, Poppin Kettle Corn, Boutique Plus, Ande, The Pulp, Chocolate Barrs, El Cactus Taco Shop, JENN & Larrys ice cream shoppe and revel coffee inc.

The funding will give these businesses the tools to "drive economic growth and attract new customers to its business and the entire downtown community," according to a statement from InvestStratford.
