Police investigate serious two-vehicle crash in North Perth

Multiple people have been sent to hospital after a serious crash on Perth Line 86, northwest of Listowel.

On Saturday evening shortly before 7 p.m., Perth County OPP alerted the public that the roadway was shut down between Molesworth Line and Mount Pleasant Line following a collision.

According to police, two vehicles were involved in the crash and a total of eight people were injured. A spokesperson from Perth County OPP said five suffered minor injuries while three were seriously hurt.

One person was reportedly airlifted to an out-of-town hospital while all others were transported to local facilities.

Police suggest that weather conditions were clear at the time of the incident.

Perth Line 86was closed for several hours as OPP investigated the scene.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
