Suspect causes $100,000 worth of damage to Kincardine Airport

One suspect has been arrested after allegedly causing $100,000 worth of damage to the Kincardine Airport.

South Bruce OPP were notified of the incident just before 10 a.m. on February 5 after a witness located the suspect inside the building.

The North side entrance door had been damaged, along with the ceiling, and aviation electronics.

When OPP arrived, they arrested the 22-year-old male from Toronto and charged him with Break, Enter, and Commit, as well as Mischief over $5,000.

The suspect was brought to the Walkerton OPP Detachment where he was processed and held for a bail hearing.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
