Bluewater gives approval of Secondary Plan

Bayfield's proposed Secondary Plan was presented to Bluewater council at this week's meeting.

Mayor Paul Klopp says the proposed plan has received input from Bayfield residents at several public meetings.

“We gave it first and second reading. It now goes to the county for their approval. So between now and then there may be some more comments, but if it passes up at the county then we will give it it's third and final reading and then be part of our official plan," Klopp said.

Klopp adds, some the things that residents had requested be part of the plan had to be pulled pulled to make it compliant with Provincial Bill 23, so he's not sure whether that will create problems, but he says the municipality doesn't have much choice in the matter.
