Perth County collision injures nine people

Perth County OPP are releasing more information about a collision near Molesworth that injured nine people.

A mini van with eight occupants and a pick up truck collided on Perth Line 86 on February 4, 2023, at about 5:15 p.m.

Police said the driver of the pick up, who was alone in the truck, was air-lifted to a London area hospital with possible life-threatening injuries. The occupants of the minivan were rushed to local hospitals, and then the driver and one passenger were also air-lifted to a London area hospital with serious injuries. The other passengers had minor injuries.

Perth County OPP, paramedics, and local fire fighters were all on the scene. The road was closed while they investigated the crash. It has since reopened and the investigation continues.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
