Municipalities looking at future recycling strategies

The municipalities of Ashfield-Corborne-Wawanosh, Howick and North Huron are working together on a recycling strategy for the future.

A-C-W Mayor Glen McNeil says he believes recycling is evolving as producers take on the responsibility of recycling their packaging.

“So we have undertaken a study on recycling and the transitioning will begin April 1 of 2025. So that gives us an opportunity to explore options and come up with the best solutions and alternatives," McNeil shared.

McNeil adds he believes anytime you can collaborate with neighbouring municipalities you bring more ideas to the table, and usually come up with a better solution.
