Driver charged after driving on only three wheels in Southampton

A 29-year-old man from Kincardine has been charged with impaired driving and several other offences after he was caught driving without a tire.

During the early-morning hours of February 5, officers spotted a vehicle travelling in the area of Albert Street South in Southampton with no tail lights and emitting a loud noise.

During a subsequent traffic stop, the police found that the right rear wheel was sitting on its rim with no tire attached. Police also noted that everyone in the vehicle appeared to be intoxicated.

Further investigation revealed that the driver had a novice driver's license which had a condition that he must have an ignition interlock device installed in any vehicle he operated. However, the vehicle he was driving did not have such a device.

The driver faces several charges, including operation with impaired.
