Man faces multiple charges for Listowel truck theft

A 20-year-old man from North Perth has been charged after allegedly stealing a truck from Listowel last week.

Perth County OPP say the blue Ford F-150 was taken from a driveway on Elizabeth Street East on March 28. The vehicle was locked with keys inside.

On the same day, the truck was recovered on Barber Avenue North in the Municipality of North Perth.

On April 1, OPP arrested a man who was observed looking through cars for multiple offences. Police say the arrested man had keys in his possession from the previously stolen Ford F-150.

The man is now facing numerous charges including breaking and entering, assault with a weapon and theft of a motor vehicle.

The accused has been released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford in May.

Anyone with information regarding these incidents should contact Perth County OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
