Arran-Elderslie temporarily moving municipal office

Starting next week, the Municipality of Arran-Elderslie is temporarily relocating its municipal office due to construction.

On April 24, operations will be moving into the Chesley Volunteer Fire Department, just down the road at 211 First Avenue. Clerk Christine Fraser-McDonald says the move will likely be for six to eight weeks.

"We are doing some renovations to our basement as well as putting in a lift for accessibility and so that is going on in the front hall," she said. "So what is happening is our front support staff will be moving over to the Chesley Fire Hall so they can still accommodate all our ratepayers."

Office hours will remain the same, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday.

Fraser-McDonald adds that council meetings will still be held at the municipal office and available to livestream online.
