One person charged with mischief after business damaged

Wellington County OPP say one person has been charged following damage that was caused at a local business.

On April 11, officers responded to a mischief report at a business on Main Street in Palmerston. Investigators reviewed surveillance footage and were able to get a good look at the suspect and the electric bicycle they were riding. The suspect allegedly caused $800 in damage to machines on the business's property.

Later that night, officers spotted someone on an electric bicycle that matched the appearance of the suspect from surveillance footage. Police arrested a 36-year-old Palmerston man. He has been charged with Mischief Under $5,000, and they are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Guelph on June 6 to answer to the charge.
