The City of Owen Sound says a daily closure of 8th Street East to through traffic will now be in extended into Wednesday, April 26, 2023.
Owen Sound’s 8th Street East will remain closed to through traffic from 8th Avenue East to 9th Avenue East between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. for sewer repairs.
While normal traffic will resume overnight, motorists should be cautious driving through the active construction site.
The city suggests drivers use 10th Street East or 6th Street East as an alternate route during daytime hours to avoid the closure.
The work is funded by the Federal Gas Tax Fund, and represents the final phase of the 2022 Road Rehabilitation program.
