UPDATE: Two charged in armed robbery

Grey Bruce OPP have released the names of two people who were arrested after police responded to a report of an armed robbery in progress at a business on Highway 21 in Saugeen First Nation.

Officers arrived on scene about 8:40 p.m. Wednesday, April 26 and took a suspect into custody. They had help from the West Region Emergency Response Team (ERT), the OPP Canine Unit, and the OPP Tactics and Rescue Unit (TRU) to locate and arrest a second suspect.

As a result of the investigation, Grey Bruce OPP have charged 23-year-old Hassan Genbd from Kitchener with armed robbery and 19-year-old Lyjah Griffiths from Cambridge with armed robbery, assault with a weapon, uttering threats and more.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
