Huron County OPP initiate K-9 search after break and enter, assault

Huron County OPP are investigating a break and enter and assault incident in Clinton that resulted in a search by the K-9 unit.

On the afternoon of May 3, police were called to a home on Dinsley Terrace.

Upon speaking to the victim, police learned that an unknown man had entered the home, demanding the car keys.

"The victim refused and was assaulted by the suspect," said OPP in a statement to the media.

The suspect, carrying an axe and a handheld torch, fled southbound towards a wooded area.

The K-9 search did not result in an arrest.

The suspect is described as a white male, 5'9", with dark hair and a slim build. He was wearing blue jeans, a black John Deere jacket, and a red baseball cap.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
