UPDATE: Police investigate disturbance in Kincardine

South Bruce OPP asked the public to temporarily avoid a street in Kincardine while officers conducted an investigation on Monday.

At around 3:47 p.m., provincial police responded to an address on Gary Street for reports of a disturbance.

As a result, police blocked off the street while they work to resolve the issue. In an update shortly before 9 p.m., police confirmed the issue has been resolved and the area has been reopened.

While no other details have been provided, police said there was no threat to public safety.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
