Byers congratulates Wiarton Curling Club following OTF grant

Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound MPP Rick Byers recently congratulated the Wiarton and District Curling Club for its accomplishments in the last year, made possible by a $23,400 grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation's Resilient Communities Fund.

The grant helped the Club purchase new equipment, tables, and outdoor message boards to promote events.

The Club has programs for juniors, school groups, and rural curlers and hosts bonspiels that raise money for local charities.

The grant has allowed the Club to continue building its membership and programs after a challenging post-pandemic period.

The OTF invested over $110M in 1,022 community projects and partnerships last year.
