Stolen construction tools being investigated by police

Police are investigating a recent theft of construction tools in Goderich.

On May 8, Huron County OPP officers were contacted after it was discovered that a locked trailer at a construction site near Cove Road in Goderich had been broken into.

Investigators were told that sometime between May 5 and May 8, unknown suspects attended the site and damaged the lock to access the trailer. The thieves then stole various DeWalt brand power tools and a Topcon Laser device. The value of the stolen tools is $9,000.

Police are asking anyone who may have any information to contact Huron County OPP or Crime Stoppers.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
