Grey Bruce OPP to utilize aviation unit during long weekend patrol

Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) will be utilizing aerial patrols for traffic enforcement during the upcoming long weekend.

In addition to their regular efforts, the OPP's Aviation Unit will focus on targeting speeding, stunt driving, and aggressive behavior on the roads.

With the arrival of better weather and increased summer traffic, the Grey Bruce OPP has already encountered nine cases of stunt driving this year.

Motorists are reminded to obey traffic laws, plan for potential delays, and drive responsibly. Stunt driving charges may apply to those caught driving 40 km/h or more over the speed limit on roads with a speed limit below 80 km/h, or 50 km/h or more over the limit on roads with a speed limit of 80 km/h or higher.
