Emergency department facing another temporary closure

The Seaforth Community Hospital will close its emergency department for a night.

A release from the Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance states that due to "sudden health human resource shortages" the ED in Seaforth will close at 5 p.m. on May 25, and will re-open at 7 a.m. on May 26. At that time, full 24 hour operation of the ED will resume.

Anyone requiring immediate medical attention should call 9-1-1. Paramedics will remain available to the community and will re-route to the nearest available Emergency Department to ensure local residents continue to have access to the emergency services they need.

-Goderich – Alexandra Marine & General Hospital

-Stratford – HPHA– Stratford General Hospital
