Fatal crash under investigation

Police are investigating a fatal crash that claimed the life of a teenager.

On June 4 just before noon, Perth County OPP responded alongside Perth County EMS, and fire services to a report of a collision in the area of Line 29 near Perth Road 107, just east of Tavistock.

The driver and lone passenger of the vehicle involved, a 16-year-old resident of Tavistock, was transported to a local hospital where they were pronounced deceased.

Perth County OPP is continuing to investigate with the assistance of the OPP West Region Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement team.

Anyone who may have witnessed this fatal crash, or who has any information, should immediately contact Perth County OPP or Crime Stoppers.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
