Wellington County youth facing child pornography charges

Wellington County OPP have charged a 15-year-old with possessing and distributing child pornography after the alleged sharing of intimate images of a fellow minor.

Police began investigating after it was reported that students from a school in Wellington County had shared images of a 14-year-old in a social media chat group.

As a result of the ongoing investigation, a 15-year-old from Wellington County will appear in Guelph court to answer to charges.

OPP are asking if anyone has information regarding this incident, to contact them at 1-888-310-1122 or report anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
