North Perth school employee accused of luring minor

A resident from Perth County has been charged with a pair of sexual offences stemming from an investigation launched late last month.

According to Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), police were contacted on May 21, 2023 about a report of inappropriate communication between a minor and an employee of a local school board. Police said the interaction occurred in May of this year.

Following an investigation by police, a 48-year-old from North Perth has been charged with luring a person under 14-years-old by telecommunication and invitation to sexual touching under 16-years-old.

The accused was held for a bail hearing.
