Minto Pride hosts successful Pride in the Park 2023

The Minto Pride Committee hosted a very successful Pride in the Park event for 2023.

The now annual event was once again held in the Palmertson Railway Heritage Park just behind the Railway Museum. It was well attended by many community members, members of the OPP, the Canadian Armed Forces, local organizations and businesses, as well as some local dignitaries.

Those included Minto Mayor Dave Turton, who gave a speech addressing the crowd regarding ally-ship and he and the council's commitment to making Minto an inclusive community for all. Perth-Wellington MPP Matthew Rae and MP John Nater both made appearances.

Families enjoyed an afternoon of fun activities including crafts, games, and the always popular miniature train rides. The event also featured a Pride march through the Heritage Railway Park.
