Police investigating break-and-enter theft to home

Police are investigating a recent break-and-enter to a home that resulted in numerous items being stolen.

Perth County OPP responded to a St. David Street residence in Mitchell on June 12.

Unknown suspects came to the home and gained entry to the residence. Once inside, the thieves took electronics and power tools.

Police are continuing to investigate and ask the public to report suspicious activity immediately, and remember to lock doors to vehicles, houses, garages, and sheds. Do not leave keys with vehicles, including ATVs. Consider installing security features, such as increased lighting, cameras, or alarms.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
