Charges laid in serious collision south of Lucknow

A 50-year-old Huron-Kinloss man is facing numerous charges, including impaired operation, stemming from a serious two-vehicle collision south of Lucknow last November.

Emergency services responded to the collision along Lucknow Line around 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 15, 2022. Both drivers were transported to hospital with one sustaining serious injuries.

Huron County OPP say after a lengthy investigation, they've charged the 50-year-old man with impaired operation causing bodily harm, two counts of operation while prohibited and two counts of driving while suspended.

The accused has since appeared in the Ontario Court of Justice in Goderich, and his matter is currently before the courts.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
