Arrest made in relation to stolen pickup

Huron County OPP have made an arrest in connection to a stolen pickup truck and trailer from Collingwood.

Police are investigating a pickup truck and trailer theft that began in the Collingwood area and ended in the Municipality of South Huron. On June 14, Huron County OPP officers were alerted that a stolen truck and trailer were being tracked on a GPS. The stolen vehicle made it's way into Huron and Perth counties.

The trailer was abandoned and found on Line 39 in Perth County, and the pickup was recovered on Marlborough Street in Exeter.

A 22-year-old from North Huron has been arrested and held in custody in connection to this theft, and is now facing numerous charges including two counts of Possession of Stolen Property Over $5,000.

Investigators are seeking witnesses who may have seen this truck and/or trailer combination travelling through Perth and Huron Counties on June 14th. Any video footage from dash cameras or surveillance would be helpful. If you have any information contact Huron County OPP or Crime Stoppers.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
