Search warrant results in drug seizure

A search warrant executed in North Perth has resulted in a significant drug seizure.

Perth County OPP executed a search warrant at an Elm Avenue North residence in Listowel alongside the Community Street Crime Unit, West Region Emergency Response Team and Huron Major Crime Unit on June 20.

Officers seized quantities of suspected fentanyl, methamphetamine, cocaine and hydromorphone with a street value of over $10,000. Police also seized Canadian cash and other offence related property.

As a result, a 31-year-old and a 37-year-old, both from North Perth, have been arrested and face numerous drug-related charges.

Both accused were released from custody and are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford on July 24 to answer to the charges. Anyone with any information regarding this investigation should contact Perth County OPP or Crime Stoppers.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
