Cyclist injured in collision with van

A cyclist suffered minor injuries after being struck by a vehicle in Walkerton.

On July 4 just before 7:30 p.m., South Bruce OPP responded to a reported collision involving a cyclist and a van on Durham Street.

Bruce County EMS also responded and treated the youth who was riding the bicycle for minor injuries.

As a result of the police investigation, a 19-year-old from Mexico was charged with careless driving, fail to yield and driving with no license.

The accused will be appearing in court as required to answer to the charges.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
