Operation Safe Driver begins

Starting on July 9, 2023, members of the Grey Bruce OPP will be participating in "Operation Safe Driver" focusing on commercial motor vehicles.

The traffic safety initiative is a province-wide program promoting safe driving practices that impact commercial motor vehicle safety.

Officers will be actively patrolling local roadways and conducting spot checks. Local residents should expect to see an increased police presence on roadways and in communities during this time.

The initiative runs from July 9, 2023, to July 15, 2023.

If you see a driver you suspect may be impaired, or who is showing disregard for local traffic laws, contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or *OPP (677) on your mobile phone.
