Hanover Police charge three in November armed robbery

Hanover Police have charged three people in relation to an armed robbery that occurred at a local motel this past winter.

On Nov. 26, 2022, a victim reported that two masked men barged into his room and beat him with a long barreled firearm before stealing some of his belongings.

The 32-year-old man was treated for fractures to his face and spent several days in hospital recovering.

Hover Police say after a months long investigation with their Owen Sound colleagues, they've charged three suspects.

Two 35-year-old men from Owen Sound face 10 charges, including robbery with violence, aggravated assault, and break, enter and theft. They remain in custody.

A 31-year-old woman from Owen Sound has also been charged with robbery with violence and has been released on conditions.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
